Workforce Investment Act

The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) provides a framework for a workforce and employment system designed to meet the needs of employers, job-seekers and those who want to advance their careers. The goal of this Department of Labor program is to increase employment, job retention, earnings of participants, and occupational skill attainment by participants. These services are provided in Clermont by Workforce One of Clermont County and is operated by Arbor Education and Training LLC. Oversight and governance of these services are provided by the Workforce One Investment Board of Southwest Ohio.

Workforce Investment Act employment and training services are available for youth aged 14 through 21, adults, and those workers that have been displaced or dislocated from past employment. Assistance with training for work credentials, diplomas, and degrees is available if considered appropriate. Information of current job opportunities, community agencies and support is shared with all customers.
